Abstract: In June 2006, the Centre for Nonprofit Management at the School of Business, Trinity College Dublin, hosted its inaugural Summer School. This initiated a distinctive dialogue on, for and with the Irish nonprofit sector. Great possibilities were envisaged in inviting sector stakeholders into a neutral space and facilitating a discussion of the current state and future possibilities for nonprofit organising in Ireland.
This book provides an insight into the topics debated, the participants, and the idea of dialogue that underpinned the initiative. It also highlights some of the questions that need to be addressed in the relation to the future of the nonprofit sector in Ireland.
